Rise Against Hunger

FEED MY SHEEP is a local food distribution program. Foodstuffs donated by Grace Church parishioners and others are distributed to Fauquier families in need. We help pass out bags of groceries weekly to anyone who needs this help.

Grace Church's individual parishioner needs are met through meals, transportation, money and companionship.

On Saturday evening, December 3rd, 2016, Stacey Walton-Yacoub received a new heart at the UVA Medical Center.

She continues to do well. Please continue to pray for her and her family as well as the family of the donor.

Habitat for Humanity

Funds raised at the pancake breakfast associated with the Blessing of the Hounds were donated to the Fauquier Habitat for Humanity.

STOP HUNGER NOW distributes food and other life-saving aid to vulnerable children and families around the world, and works to help end world hunger.

Parishioners of Grace Church are among Stop Hunger Now's half a million volunteers that fund, package, and ship food to people in need all over the globe every year.

We are so grateful to have you as part of our quilting community. You helped us reach another milestone today – bringing us to a total of 3,900 donated quilts. You are an inspiration. Wishing you a wonderful, sewful, winter full of colorful fabric, thread that doesn’t break, and cozy quilts.

Fondly, Sherry Cater ADCS

The Sew-What Quilters meet in the Parish Hall once a month on Saturday mornings. Blankets are made to warm local nursing home patients. Tote bags are made from Stop Hunger Now rice bags to benefit "Wine to Water," a global water purification charity. All are welcome to attend.

Dear Group Members,

Thank you very much for the beautiful quilts for the Alzheimer’s Quilt Project here at UC San Diego. I know that your quilts will bring great comfort to many of our Alzheimer’s research study participants. We truly appreciate you all and can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support of our Alzheimer’s Quilt Project.

"SEW-WHAT" Group made quilts for the Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study (ADCS) who distributes them to patients enrolled in Alzheimer’s studies affiliated with the ADCS throughout the United States. Here is the thank-you note for the last quilts sent to them:

Every Wednesday at noon in the Parish Hall, THE CENTER provides a pot-luck luncheon and fellowship for our local senior citizens. A local pianist plays old tunes while they eat. After lunch some choose to participate in various activities that may be offered, such as adult coloring or bingo.

Grace Church's individual parishioner needs are met through meals, transportation, money and companionship.

Each October, Grace Church provides breakfast to those attending the BLESSING OF THE HOUNDS. The blessing of the Casanova Hunt's hounds is held on the Casanova Green with our priest as the officiant. Before and after the blessing, breakfast is served by our parishioners in the parish hall which is located just across from the Green.

Grace Church and Casanova community book lovers meet monthly in private homes to enjoy discussion of selected books. The BOOK CLUB book selection consists of a wide range of topics and interest.

YOGA in the Parish Hall is offered twice weekly to members of the church and the local community. Classes are held on Monday and Thursday evenings.
